"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera." — Dorothea Lange
BIO
Alain Delange
Photographer and video integration assistant
I fell in love with photography in 2010. It felt like a breath of fresh air. I had found my thing. Self-taught, after 4 years of amateur photography, I met a great French fashion and advertising photographer, Nicolas Bets, by chance at the Fête de la Musique — he offered me a spot as his assistant. I wanted to go pro, so the timing couldn't have been better! A year later, I went freelance and specialized in the themes that make me come alive: architecture, craftsmen's portraits, and event reportage in the broadest sense. My peers tell me I have a humanist style — meaning I take people as they are, especially in reportage work. Even in architecture, I can't help bringing in the human element whenever I get the chance. I lived exclusively off photography for the last 10 years, but for the past few months I've felt the need to explore new horizons. I trained in LED wall technology and started working in parallel, under the intermittent entertainment industry status, as a video integration assistant.

SUIVI DE CHANTIER — LES GROUES
TELAMON (Real estate developer), with Bricqueville
Télamon's communications team commissioned me for 20 reportages spread over 3 years. The Groues neighborhood in Nanterre grew around this project of three buildings with high environmental standards: a private university, a mixed office-and-housing building, and a striking residential tower defined by the reach of its terraces. My brief was "simple": be creative! So I put the spotlight on the monumental work of the tradespeople building these structures, documenting the different construction phases. I didn't hesitate to propose my own angles and compositions, since that's exactly what was asked of me.
EVA IVOS — ARCHITECTE D'INTÉRIEUR
Eva Ivos
I've been working with Eva for over 7 years, shooting her interior design work. Our collaboration begins once her projects are completed. I've always been able to express myself freely while respecting her requirements. The rapport we've built over the years means we barely need to speak anymore. It's always a pleasure composing around her different moods, lighting choices, colors, textures, and… mirrors, which are the recurring thread through her work. I always have a lot of fun with those mirrors :)
PARIS HABITAT
Paris Habitat
Won through a competitive tender. Photographer for their architectural projects, renovations, and event coverage over four years. They told me, after a while, that whenever they needed human presence in their architecture photos, they'd pick me. So I shot numerous reportages across their residential neighborhoods. They gave me complete creative freedom, as do all the clients who choose me for my distinctive eye.
CONFÉRENCES ET COCKTAILS
ICPF (Certificateur Qualiopi)
ICPF's communications team has trusted me for over 7 years now. My reportage-style photography — favoring unposed portraits and genuine emotion captured during their conferences and cocktail events — pairs perfectly with their humanist values and their wish to showcase their close-knit community.
